As per a report by Republic TV, the Mumbai Police, on the early hours of Tuesday - at around 2:30 am - conducted a raid at the Dragonfly Club located in Andheri's Hotel JW Marriot. The report adds how celebrities like Sussanne Khan and singer Guru Randhawa, along with Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, have been booked amid the same. They were arrested under Section 188 of IPC, Bombay Police Act and Epidemic Disease Act. However, the latest report in Pune Times suggests that Guru Randhawa and Suresh Raina are now out on bail.

The report in Republic added how singer Badshah, too, was present but he left the venue via a back gate during the raid. The celebrities were released on the notice of CrPC 41(a)(1), as per the sources close to the portal. It further states that the police has taken action against 34 people, including the hotel's staff. Out of those 34 people, 19 were reportedly from Delhi and Punjab. Those not from Mumbai have dashed off to Delhi via an early morning flight.

The official statement issued by the Mumbai Police on this matter read, "offence has been registered u/s 188, 269, 34 IPC and u/s 51 NDMA against 34 persons at Sahar police station after raid was conducted at 2.50 AM at Dragonfly pub, for keeping establishment open beyond permissible time limit, not following Covid norms such as social distancing, not wearing face mask."
