Apart from TV, the folklore drama Naagin is all set to amaze the movie buffs as well as it will be hitting the big screens now. Naagin was in the news for a very long time, however, no latest updates have flocked the headlines until now when Shraddha agreed to the film. Ms Kapoor took to her Twitter handle and confirmed that she will be playing the role of the shape-shift serpent in Naagin. With the announcement of a new film, fans are pretty excited to see how this new supernatural drama unfolds. The latest development mentions the film to kick-start by mid next year after she wraps the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.
"By mid Next year, I think we will start the film. I think Shraddha is about to begin her film with Ranbir Kapoor for Luv Ranjan shortly which she will wrap almost half by mid next year. Once that happens, we will start the shoot for this," producer Nikhil Dwivedi told Pinkvilla. He also said that Shraddha was the first choice for the film and has the potential to essay the role as he reasons. "The only person I really thought of was Shraddha because I think she is one of the few actresses we have who has this unique quality of being a girl next door and can turn into a very sensuous woman the next day if she wants to."
Confirming her next, she had tweeted, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma'am's Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore. @Nikhil_Dwivedi @FuriaVishal @saffronbrdmedia.”
Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in Baaghi 3 alongside Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and Ankita Lokhande. ALSO READ: Shraddha Kapoor BEATS Deepika Padukone; Actress Secures 3rd Position After Priyanka Chopra And Virat Kohli As Most Followed Celeb On Instagram
