Bollywood actress and politician Nagma’s tweets about a Pakistani journalist being insulted in a debate show on a news channel did not go down well with Twitterati, and soon after, #NagmaStandsWithPakistan started trending on Twitter. It so happened that a Pakistani journalist Tarik Peerzada was a part of the debate show in Aaj Tak, and it was hosted by Anjana Om Kashyap. Salman Khan’s Baaghi co-star Nagma was infuriated by the language that a panelist used for the Pakistani journalist.

Nagma tweeted, “I can’t beleive the language what the #bjp spokesperson is using on @aajtak for a Pakistani person Tariq Peerzada and @AnjanaOmModiATisallowinv him and also continuously speaking over the female journalists from pak why invite them if you are hell bent on insulting them.” Sambit  Soon, #NagmaStandsWithPakistan was trending on Twitter, and Twitterati was furious about her supporting a Pakistani journalist. While one user wrote, “If the jounalist will do worthless talk and nonsense then what should be done according to you. You can hear against India we know but everyone does no#NagmaStandsWithPakistan Nagma,” another one wrote, “Sad to see an Indian women supporting them #NagmaStandsWithPakistan.”

Nagma also took a dig at another anchor from a news channel, and wrote, “anchoring-of @navikakumar her debates r hollow she just does nt allow another pt of view frm any1 other than a #bjp pt of view debate on #kashmir shud b fair browbeating her pt of view& pushing her view through bjp supporters on any1 who has a diff Ptof view they just nt fair.”


Apart from Salman Khan starrer Baaghi, Nagma has also starred in films like Suhaag, Lal Baadshah, Ek Rishta, and many more.
