Earlier today, there were reports doing rounds that veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is suffering from pneumonia for which he had been hospitalised two days ago in Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai. There was a wave of concern through the industry checking on the health update of the veteran actor.
However, things seem to be under control and heading towards a good direction as when we reached out to Naseer ji’s wife, Ratna Pathak Shah, she confirmed his well-being. “It’s just a small pneumonia patch that is being checked and treated at the hospital. He should be out soon,” she told Spotboye.com.
Naseer ji’s manager also gave an update on the actor’s health to a leading daily confirming the same, earlier in the day, stating that Naseer ji was under medical supervision as it became necessary for him to be hospitalised immediately after a pneumonia patch was found in his lungs. He added that Naseer ji is responding well to the treatment and his condition is stable. He is on his way to recovery.
On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah was last seen as a classical musical maestro in Amazon Prime Video’s musical web-series, Bandish Bandits starring Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhary last year, while he opened 2021 with Seema Pahwa’s directorial debut, the family drama Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, which featured an ensemble cast including Vikrant Massey, Konkona Sen Sharma, Parambrata Chhaterjee, Vinay Pathak, Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa and Vineet Kumar.
