Neena Gupta On Masaba's Divorce: ‘Itna Paisa, Mehnat Kharch Karo Shaadi Mei, Uske Baad Divorce, Arre Yaar, Toh Live-In Karlo’

Neena Gupta has never been hesitant to talk about her personal life and has been breaking stereotypes for quite some time now! Just a few months ago, her frock ka shock came as such a surprise for her fans, proving that she is still young at heart. Now, the veteran actress has opened up about her daughter Masaba’s divorce with Madhu Mantena and said that instead of helping her, it was Masaba who helped Neena. She also aired her views about live-in relationships.
While speaking to Pinkvilla, Neena Gupta said, “On the contrary, she helped me. I was devastated, and I used to talk to her and she helped me go through it. These youngsters are very smart, this younger generation is very smart." She also talked about how earlier she wouldn’t have let her daughter be in a live-in relationship, but now, she is now okay with it. And this change of opinion did not come just because of Masaba’s separation, but also because of all the divorces she has been seeing around her.
Neena Gupta said, “Itna paisa kharch karo shaadi mei, itni mehnat karo, itna taam jhaam karo aur uske baad aap divorce karlo, arre yaar, toh live-in karlo. I think I have changed my mind during the last 3-4 years.”
On the work front, Neena Gupta was last seen in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, in which she played Jitendra Kumar’s mother. The film also stars Neena Gupta’s Badhai Ho co-actor Gajraj Rao.
