Yesteryear actor Neetu Kapoor was once one of the leading actresses in Hindi Cinema. She had a plenty of hit movies under her belt, but she left acting after her marriage to late actor Rishi Kapoor. After a hiatus, she did come back on-screen to play a cameo in Love Aaj Kal and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and for a full-fledged role in Do Dooni Chaar and Besharam with Rishi Kapoor. On April 30, 2020, the actor lost her husband Rishi Kapoor who valiantly fought cancer. Now, Neetu is now all set to appear in Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

In a recent chat with Filmfare, Neetu Kapoor spoke about her experience of going back to the sets of Jug Jugg Jeeyo after the tragic demise of her husband Rishi Kapoor. She also said Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Varun Dhawan were her pillar of strength. She was quoted as saying, “When I did those 70-80 movies, I was young and my mother used to accompany me. And then I did those two movies (Do Dooni Chaar and Besharam) with my husband. For me to agree to Jug Jugg Jeeyo took a lot because for the first time I didn’t have anyone with me. It was quite an experience. Also, my husband had passed away recently, so I was a bit shaken up inside.”

“I needed something to make me feel stronger. I was anxious initially but gradually became used to the routine. And everybody made me feel better on the sets. Anil Kapoor, director Raj Mehta, Kiara (Advani), Varun (Dhawan), everyone was a pillar of strength. So, I relaxed after a few days. I’m glad I did the film,” she continued.

During the same interview, the talented actor also said her bond with Ranbir Kapoor is better now. They discuss movies, scripts, actors and performances. Neetu also mentioned that Ranbir even asks her opinion about the scripts. ALSO READ: Ranbir Kapoor’s Sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Says Her Mother Neetu Kapoor Would Be A ‘Totally Chilled Out And Non-Interfering Mother-In-Law'
