Talking about Neha’s social media activity, that is sensitising new mothers and the world to listen in and be receptive to their problems, it all began with a thought provoking video about embracing motherhood and importance of breastfeeding, she moved on to share how she exclusively breastfed her daughter Mehr for 6 months. Followed by an interaction with Mid Day, Neha was quoted demanding for facilities in public places for young mothers and their newborns. This demand came in when Neha herself faced an issue with her little one in the recent times.
The actress who sometimes takes her daughter to her shoots, once had to hide behind tree to nurse Mehr, due to lack of facilities of nursing rooms in her nearby areas. She said, “Once when we were on an outdoor shoot, I had to go behind a tree to feed Mehr. The facility of nursing rooms should be made mandatory in public spaces. Often, mums quit breastfeeding soon after giving birth because they have to go to work. I would feed Mehr on set and fortunately, everyone around was so understanding.”
