Taapsee Pannu is winning hearts on social media with her reply to producer Tanuj Garg, who called her ‘female Ayushmann Khurrana’ after winning a Filmfare award for her performance in Saand Ki Aankh
The 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020 took place last night in Guwahati, Assam and the star-studded event saw the who’s who of Bollywood come under one roof. Amongst those who attended the award ceremony, were Taapsee Pannu, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar and many others. Taapsee won a Filmfare award for her performance in the film Saand Ki Aankh. It was obviously a happy moment for the actress. Producer Tanuj Garg congratulated the actress, and called her ‘female Ayushmann Khurrana.’
Congratulating Taapsee on her Filmfare win, Tanuj Garg tweeted, “Congrats to the powerhouse @taapsee, humaare #Bollywood ki female Ayushmann Khurrana. #SaandKiAankh #bestactress.” Taapsee was quick to reply and her epic response to being called female Ayushmann is winning hearts on the Internet. She tweeted, “What about calling me bollywood ki pehli Taapsee Pannu?” Her classy response is a winner, and Netizens hailed her for the same. Tanuj Garg also replied to Taapsee’s comment with, “Woh toh ho hi! Inimitable, singular, distinctive!”
While one fan wrote, “Yaaaas! Queen. Your success doesn’t need to always be equated to that of a man. You’re your own person and this is just amazing! Meanwhile, on the work front, Taapsee Pannu will next be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s film Thappad. The trailer of Thappad released a few weeks ago and received a great response.
