Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married on April 14 after dating each other for almost four years. The couple exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony with just family members and close friends in attendance at the actor’s residence in Vastu. Alia shared dreamy wedding photos on Instagram and left fans and the internet gushing over the newlyweds. Several inside photos and videos from Ranbir-Alia’s wedding have hit the internet. Recently, Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor revealed to the media that there will be no wedding reception.
Now, as per the latest report, Ranbir and Alia will soon host an intimate small get-together at Vastu. An Etimes report stated that the function will be only for Kapoor and Bhatt family members and a few close friends. This special low-key function is likely to take place tomorrow. Reportedly, Alia and Ranbir’s close friends from Bollywood may also attend this get-together.
Earlier, there were speculations that the newly married couple will throw a lavish and grand reception at Taj Hotel in Colaba. However, after the wedding, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor greeted the media and confirmed that there would be no reception for the couple. The senior actress, when quizzed about the reception, told the paparazzi, “Aap sab khush rehna aur Alia aur Ranbir ko khushiyaan. Wish them all the best. Now,go and sleep. Ho gaya sab kuch. Not just Neetu, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Sangeet and dance choreographer Rajendra Singh also confirmed that Ranbir and Alia will not host any wedding reception. He was quoted as saying, “There is no reception. There must be rumours going on, but there is no reception. Neetu is shooting, Ranbir is shooting, Alia is working - so today is the last. Maybe tomorrow they have some house pooja, I have no idea. But as far as I know, there is no reception.”
