Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan has finally tied the knot with the love of her life Nupur Shikhare. Ever since the wedding preparations began earlier this week, the couple had taken the internet by storm as netizens wondered about their wedding rituals. Photos and videos of their big day started surfacing the internet on Wednesday evening as the groom ran 8 kms to Taj Lands End for his big day. Upon reaching the venue he and his baraati’s danced to the beats of the dhol.

Dressed in white shorts and a black vest, Nupur was welcomed by his father-in-law Aamir Khan. After signing the marriage certificates, the newlyweds came outside to happily pose for the paparazzi along with the family. For the occasion, Ira chose a beautiful blue and pink lehenga. Nupur wore a blue sherwani. They posed alongside the groom’s mother, Aamir, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao, Juniad Khan and Azad Khan. Talking about the upcoming festivities, the newlyweds are taking their family and close friends to Udaipur, Rajasthan, for mehendi and sangeet. After celebrating their union, they will return to Mumbai, where they will host a wedding reception on January 10. If reports are to be believed, they have invited all the known celebrities from the Hindi film industry. For those who don’t know, Nupur is a fitness coach, who has trained Bollywood celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Aamir Khan. On the other hand, Ira made her directorial debut in 2019 with the stage production ‘Euripides' Medea,’ an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy Medea. Apart from this, she also launched Agastu Foundation, which aims to help and support people battling with mental health issues. 

Ira is Aamir’s only daughter from his first wife, Reena Dutta. They also have a son, Junaid Khan. After his first divorce, Aamir got married again to Kiran Rao. The couple, who are now divorced, welcomed their son, Azad, through surrogacy in 2011.
