Shah Rukh Khan At His Charismatic Best As He Becomes The First Bollywood Actor To Speak At TED Talks
Shah Rukh Khan addressed a TED conference in Canada on Thursday and as expected, blew the audience’s mind away with his witty one-liners and articulate speech.

TED -- an acronym for Technology, Entertainment and Design -- is a prestigious platform which has earlier been graced by the likes of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, astronaut Mae Jemison, Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page to name a few.

With his appearance, Shah Rukh Khan became the first Bollywood actor to speak at TED Talks. The superstar addressed a number of subjects including his career and how the advent of Internet has impacted the world.

“I sell dreams and I peddle love to millions of people back home in India who assume that I am the best lover in the world,” Khan said as he opened his talk.

Talking about the age of social media, SRK opined, "We had expected an expansion of ideas and dreams; we had not bargained for the enclosure of judgement."

“For years, I’ve been a huge fan of TED Talks,” Khan said, referring to the conference’s freely shared videos in which brilliant and accomplished people dive concisely into captivating concepts.

“There are so many people in India who would like to come out with their ideas and thoughts, and speak them in Hindi.”

That’s not all. He even charmed the audience with his famous Lungi Dance. Here are SRK’s other quotable quotes from the evening:

Furthermore, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to host the TED Talks India: Nayi Soch on Star Plus soon. The show will comprise eight episodes.

Talking about his show, Shah Rukh told a leading daily:  “It’s a televised version of TED Talks. I have been made to understand that it’s something that has not been done before and they want to try out this concept. People will share stories about changes in society, in life — whether it’s about the climate, dangerous diseases or to help empower women — and all of this will be integrated. There are some beautiful stories — both Indian and international — which the team is planning to get on one platform and do a nice mix of Hindi and English speakers.”
