While it’s common for fans to wish their matinee idols on social media, this fan landed up outside Anushka Sharma’s house yesterday. However, what she did next will bring a smile to your face
Anushka Sharma turned a year older yesterday and as opposed to a grand bash, settled for a low-key celebration at home with friends and family.
The actress was spending quality time with loved ones at her Versova residence when a fan gatecrashed her building and expressed a desire to meet ‘her idol’ on the special day. While most stars prefer to maintain a distance when fans land up in front of their homes, Anushka Sharma welcomed this well-wisher with open arms.
She not only accepted the gift that the fan had brought for her, but also obliged her with a selfie.
Needless to say, this fan will remember the day for years to come.
On the professional front, on her birthday, the actress announced her new project Pari which will be produced under the banners of Clean Slate Films (which is owned by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma) and KriArj Entertainment. The film will be directed by debutant Prosit Roy and will also feature Bengali star Parambarata Chatterjee. The venture goes on floors this June.
While speaking about the film, Anushka Sharma told a section of the media, “At Clean Slate Films, we focus on a good, engaging story above all else. With new talent, we get to work on newer ideas and innovative concepts. Pari is a great script, and I have complete faith in Prosit’s vision as well as this collaboration with KriArj Entertainment.”
“I was impressed with the script and team of Pari, and loved the idea of working with Anushka Sharma. This film holds great promise and I look forward to its shoot soon,” said Parambrata Chatterjee who gained prominence in Bollywood industry after his role in Kahaani.
