No Police Complaint Filed By Rhea Chakraborty Yet Against Rape Threats On Social Media After Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death
Yesterday, Rhea Chakraborty sought Cyber Crime Cell’s help after sharing screenshots of rape threats she received on social media. Now, latest reports state that Rhea hasn’t filed an official police complaint yet
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide in his Mumbai residence on June 14. The investigation in Sushant’s death is currently underway and many people linked to the actor were called by the Mumbai Police for interrogation and their statements were recorded. Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was one of them who was reportedly questioned for about 10 hours. A month after Sushant’s demise came Rhea’s first social media post about the late actor. In another post later, she shared screenshots of rape threats she was receiving post Sushant’s death.
Rhea Chakraborty sought Cyber Crime Cell’s help after sharing screenshots of rape threats she received on social media. Now, a report in Pinkvilla states that Rhea hasn’t filed an official police complaint yet. While she requested the cyber crime cell to take necessary action, sources told the portal that the cops claimed she has shared screenshots but is yet to file an official complaint about the same. In her post, Rhea Chakraborty claimed that she was called a gold digger, murderer, she was slut-shamed, and through it all she kept quiet.
She wrote, “I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet I was called a murderer ....I kept quiet I was slut shamed ....I kept quiet But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ? Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment .I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action .ENOUGH IS ENOUGH..”
Meanwhile, in another social media post, Rhea Chakraborty also urged Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a CBI inquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
