No Taimur In Kareena Kapoor's Good News, Internet Herd Mentality Made A Stupid Joke Trend!

Sorry, Taimur Ali Khan is NOT making a film debut in Kareena Kapoor's Good News. We can surely wait for him to grow. Shouldn't we, really? And, can we start respecting journalism- be it on radio, TV, print and especially digital? Let's surely not propagate lies and let us definitely not shout

No Taimur In Kareena Kapoor's Good News, Internet Herd Mentality Made A Stupid Joke Trend!
How many times you hear in the newsroom of a digital platform that a story needs to be done if it is trending? But is it really worth it to do that story always and then do a rebuttal on it after sometime? Is it not necessary to crosscheck with the people concerned? Damnit, we are writing about big people- be it cricketers, politicians or film stars- and shouldn't we observe restrain? Is respecting them only restricted to asking vanilla questions? No, respecting them is writing what is right and not writing what is wrong. That's the first lesson of journalism in today's times, if the new generation of journalists which contains a large number of selfie journalists have a minute to lift their heads from their WhatsApp frames?

Okay, so here we go. SpotboyE.com has some Bad News for those who have gone nuts about Taimur's 'debut' in Good News. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's darling son is not starring in Good News, which stars his mother opposite Akshay Kumar. What happened is that it all started as an April Fool joke as a source close to Kareena tells us, and without a pause or rather without taking a breath inside, the young journos of today made it go viral on the Internet. Or, were they under some pressure from their seniors to quantify before verify?

Anyway, story toh ban gayi, clicks bhi aa gaye and everybody in most media houses went home happily. The erosion of journalism continues to happen- but who cares? No wonder, India is leading in Fake News currently. And the way things are going, I don't think we are in any mood to give up that 'distinction'.

What is the film Good News all about? Well, that's not the story here. Haven't I already penned my 250 words for Google to accept this story and save me the mercy from padding it, with off-tangent romance with inanities?
