Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are undoubtedly one of the most popular and loved celebrity couples. They have been shelling out some major relationship goals ever since they got hitched. Abhishek, who is known for making candid confessions, recently recalled his first meet with his wife and revealed that she couldn’t understand a word he was saying because of his ‘heavy accent.’ In a recent interview, the actor took a trip down memory lane and shared an incident when he first met Aishwarya.
During his appearance on The Ranveer Show, the Dhoom actor revealed that he was working as a production boy for dad Amitabh Bachchan's 'Mrityudaata' when he met Aishwarya over dinner in Switzerland during the shoot for debut Hindi movie ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.’ Abhishek said, “My dear friend Bobby Deol was shooting his first film, Aur Pyaar Ho gaya. I was at the same location, I went to say hi to him when he said, 'oh come for dinner.' That was Aishwarya's first Hindi film and that's the first time I ever interacted with her.”
The Big Bull actor added, "Aishwarya jokingly said, ‘I couldn’t understand a word of what you were saying’. Because here I was, this kid from an international boarding school, then went to Boston. I must’ve had some really heavy accent at that point. And she was like, ‘What were you saying?.”
For the unversed, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai tied the knot on April 20, 2007, after months of dating. The actor had proposed marriage to Aishwarya in Toronto after the premiere of their movie Guru. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Aaradhya in 2011.
