Noted Filmmaker Sawaan Kumar Tak In CRITICAL Condition Due To Heart Ailment, His Nephew Asks Fans For Their Prayers

Filmmaker Sawaan Kumar Tak is a renowned name in the film industry with many blockbuster films to his credit. Sawaan is currently admitted to the intensive care unit of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He had a long history of lung-related ailments, but this time his condition got worsened due to a heart issue. Sawaan’s nephew Navin Kumar Tak revealed that the director’s heart is not in a good condition and thus his condition is critical.
Speaking to Etimes TV, Navin Kumar said, “He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. He's had a history of lung-related ailments, but this time he's serious and his heart is not in a good condition. We are asking the fans and followers for their prayers so that uncle can pull through this difficult time.”
For the unversed, Sawaan Kumar Tak dons many hats that of a director, producer, and writer. He has directed many Hindi films, including ‘Gomti Ke Kinare’, ‘Souten, Souten Ki Beti’, ‘Sanam Bewafa’, and ‘Sajan Bina Suhagan’ and ‘Bewaffa Se Waffa’. He is also behind giving big breaks to actors like Sanjeev Kumar and Mehmood Junior. Sawaan is also a prolific lyricist and has written songs for most of his produced and directed films. He has written the lyrics of films such as Sabak starring Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam, Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ and all the songs from the 2004 film Dev. He is also a recipient of many awards.
