Nupur Sanon Denies Being A Part Of Tiger Shroff-Kriti Sanon's Ganapath: 'It Can't Be My Debut Film, It Is More About Kriti’s Character'- EXCLUSIVE
Amidst rumours of Nupur Sanon being approached for Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath, the actress denies any such developments
Nupur Sanon made her first screen appearance in the music video of Filhaal opposite Akshay Kumar in 2019, to which she also released a sequel, Filhaal 2, earlier this month. However, ever since her first video, there have been multiple reports around the actress’ Bollywood debut. Last year, it was reported that she had signed on with Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment for her first film.
Soon after, the production house announced their next project, Vikas Bahl’s Ganapath with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. The story is to have two leading ladies and soon a few names started coming up for the role of the second leading lady, with Nupur and Nora Fatehi’s name at the top. Earlier this month it was reported that Nora had been ousted from the film and Nupur was again being considered. However, in an exclusive conversation with Spotboye.com, Nupur denies those rumours saying, “That’s not true.”
Nupur goes on to add that she and sister Kriti both have some expectations from her first film. “Kriti is already in Ganapath and she is also very protective about me in a space where she wants me to do a role which has a lot for me. Unless and until it is a kickass script or an equal role for both heroines, I won’t start with such a film. Ganapath is more about Kriti’s character. So, this is just a rumour with no truth to it,” she clarifies.
So, what is the actual update on her film debut? “There have been many reports and some of them might be true or might not, but I am not allowed to say anything. Although, in the next two months or so, there should be some news out. There has been a little delay due to the lockdown as well, so a lot of old scripts are yet to be shot first. Kriti was to shoot for a film 10-11 months ago, but she is shooting for it now due to the delay. So, there are a lot of backlogs and my projects have been pushed, but they are there and, in a few months, some news will be out,” she insists.
For now, Nupur is revelling in the success of her music video of Filhaal 2. “I am just happy that even though film shoots aren’t happening at this time, I was at least able to do this music video and something came in this lockdown for me. And I also got to work on that on my birthday so that made it more special for me,” she signs off with a smile.
