Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at Alia Bhatt yet again for winning the National Award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi
Filmmaker and actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to step foot into a new career path. Days after the announcement that she has joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and will be contesting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from Mandi, a video of the actress mocking Alia Bhatt for receiving a National Award for her outstanding performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi has surfaced on the internet. It is to be noted, that Kangana has never shied away from expressing her disappointment towards the nepotism in the Hindi film industry and often targets Alia Bhatt as well as Ranbir Kapoor.
In a video posted on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, with the caption, “She is still talking about Alia... National Awards?” she is heard mocking Nepo kids for receiving awards. During an event, when she was asked about her views on Rahul Gandhi, she expressed how she sees the Congress leader as a pampered child from the film industry. She goes on to take a dig at Alia by stating, “Jaise waha unhone beti ko awards de diye. Ke kangana ko saare awards mil gaye, mujhe bhi chahiye. Ab ki baar saare awards unhi ko do. Well, as soon as the video went viral, netizens quickly took to social media to express their shock and concern. On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Emergency. Not only is the movie her first solo directorial, but she will also be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Apart from that, she also has a few other projects in her pipeline like the Noti Binodini biopic. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, Jigra, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise and Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zara alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in her pipeline. She will also be headlining YRF's spy universe as the leading first lady with an upcoming project.
