As the chatter around Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's three-day pre-wedding extravaganza is dwindling down slowly, netizens have been expressing their views on the event on social media. Known to never mince her words, Kangana Ranaut too seems to have joined the bandwagon. The Bollywood actress and filmmaker took to her official social media handle and reacted to an old interview by the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. She went as far as to compare her hit songs with the latter and stated how they never performed at weddings.

Reacting to a Deccan Herald article with the headline, “Even if you give me $5 million I won’t come': When Lata Mangeshkar refused to sing at wedding,” Kangana penned a long note taking a jibe at Bollywood celebrities that perform at weddings. It is to be noted, that the note comes after Bollywood celebrities returned to Mumbai from Jamnagar after attending Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding festivities. The 36-year-old actress stated that only she and Lata Mangeshkar have massive hit songs. Ranaut went on to reveal that despite facing financial setbacks and getting many offers she never danced at weddings. She added, “But no matter how many temptations I got I never danced in the weddings, many super hit item songs were also offered to me, soon I avoided award shows also. While she didn’t name anyone in the post, given her history, the actress has seemingly taken a jibe at the Bollywood stars that took the internet by storm with the dance performances.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen Tejas. She will be next seen in Emergency. Not only is the movie her first solo directorial, but she will also be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Apart from that, she also has a few other projects in her pipeline like the Noti Binodini biopic.
