As per a report in Republic, the investigating agency clarified that his death case is not closed yet and the investigation is still on.

After SSR's death, Mumbai police was investigating the case and termed it as 'suicide'. After SSR's father lodged a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty accusing her of abetment to suicide and more, Bihar police stepped into the matter. CBI then took over the case and questioned Rhea and others in relation to the case.
Rhea, her brother Showik and some members of SSR's staff were arrested in relation to the drugs case. Remembering the actor on his death anniversary, Rhea took to Instagram and wrote, 'There isn't a moment where I believe that you aren't here anymore.
