Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal’s mother-in-law Dr Mrudula Sampat has left for her heavenly abode. She breathed her last on Monday, April 3, at the age of 92. She passed away at her Mumbai residence. The family has decided to keep all the details regarding the same private. The late doctor’s daughter Swaroop Sampat Rawal took to her official social media to share the sad news.

Taking to Instagram, Swaroop posted a poster announcing her mother’s passing. In the picture shared by her, it was written, “Dr Mrudula Sampat. 8.9.1931-3.4.2023. Deeply Missed by Swaroop Rawal, Paresh Rawal, Rajathh Sampat, Neahaah Sampat, Anirudh, Aditya & Sharvani.” Fans took to the comment section to express their grief and condol the greiving family. For the unversed, apart from being Paresh Rawal’s mother-in-law and actress Swaroop Sampat Rawal’s mother, Dr Sampat was also the wife of Gujarati theatre actor Bachu Sampat. Talking about Swaroop, she was crowned Miss India in 1987. She went on to get married to the veteran actor in the same year. The couple welcomed two sons, and today are proud parents to Aditya and Anirudh.

On the work front, after causing quite the stir with his remarks on religion, Rawal is all set to return to the big screen. He will be reprising his role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the third instalment of his hit franchise Hera Pheri 3. He will be joining Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, who will be seen essaying the role of Raju and Shyam, respectively.
