Parineeti Chopra missed attending the Holi bash and even Mannara Chopra’s birthday bash, amid rumours of soiled relationship with her cousin Priyanka Chopra
Actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra are one of the most sought-after cousins in the Hindi entertainment industry. Their bond was adored by their fan, however, in the past few months, rumours are a riff that all is not well between the sisters. The rumours started when Priyanka failed to attend Parineeti and Raghav Chadha’s wedding. The speculation further caught fire after the eldest was seen attending a Holi bash hosted by their family and was even a part of their cousin Mannara Chopra’s birthday bash. She attended both events with her husband Nick Jonas.
Parineeti missing both events led to a lot of raised eyebrows, as multiple media reports suggested that she was upset with her Mimi Di for not attending her wedding. It is to be noted that the cousins haven’t been spotted together despite being in the same city. Now, a report by Bollywood Life stated that Mannara is very close to Priyanka and invited her to the birthday party as she sees the latter as her “biggest source of inspiration.” The Bigg Boss 18 contestant didn’t invite the Ishqzaade actress. Bollywood Life quotes its source, stating, “She didn't invite Parineeti Chopra and the reason may be Priyanka as it is speculated that Pari is upset with her Mimi Di for not attending her wedding. The source goes on to add that Mannara and Parineeti aren’t close with each other like Priyanka is with them. They revealed that while Pari and Pee Cee haven’t met ever since the former tied the know, one of the reasons for the 35-year-old actress’ absence from the events could be because of her upcoming movie Chamkila’s promotions.
Talking about the Chamkila, the Imtiaz Ali directorial is set to be released on Netflix on 12th April 2024. Co-starring Diljit Dosanjh, the movie is a biographical film based on the life of late musician Amar Singh Chamkila, who was brutally killed at a young age because of his thought provoking songs and lyrics.
