Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor’s relationship oscillates between friends and colleagues very easily. There recently seemed to be a patch up when they hugged at a Finding Fanny screening.
Sonam was also one of the many famous names who came out in support of Deepikas onslaught against a leading newspaper which published revealing photos of her.
However, yesterday at an event,Sonam might have undone it all with an ill-timed statement.
When asked about friend Deepikas strongly-worded open letter on her Facebook page addressing the photo issue, Sonam was quick to retort with a, “I never said shes a friend. Shes a colleague.”
When pressed to comment on the subject, Sonam said, As long as women stop objectifying themselves, people will stop objectifying them.
Sonam has never minced her words and this time too she did not hold back. People have to respect themselves first for people to respect them.
Wonder what bearing these comments will have on the battle Deepika is fighting.
