Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested all to shut the lights of their home at 9 pm for 9 minutes on April 5 and light up diyas or flashlights on their windows in door to show gratitude and extend their support to all those fighting Coronavirus. And just like how the entire nation participated in his #TaaliBajaoThaaliBajao activity, many came forward to make #9pm9minute a success. A lot of celebrities too participated in it and sent out their message to all that in this fight with Coronavirus, we all are in it, together. Celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Mira Rajput and many others took part. Even Ambanis closed the lights of their famous Antila and light it up with Diyas.
Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture on Instagram of him holding a torch and attached it with a poem written by his father, late Harivansh Rai Bachchan. His caption read, "Yes the night is dark , but who did stop you from lighting a lamp ..
another epic poem of my Father .. and how visionary it has proven tonight .. for the #9PM9minute call ..Will put up the entire poem by tomorrow .. on video !" Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too put up pictures on her Instagram that also saw Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
Shweta Bachchan too shared Amitabh Bachchan's picture on Instagram and the images saw him with a torch. She wrote, "Papa (in lieu of Alexa) please switch on the moon xx." Ambanis, on the other hand, lit up many diyas on the balconies of their famous Antila to show support.
