Poet Rahat Indori passed away at the age of 70. The late poet suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday in an Indore hospital. He was also COVID-19 positive. The news of poet Rahat Indori’s demise was shared through his official Twitter handle. The family of the deceased informed fans about the late poet’s demise and mentioned he passed away at 5: 00 PM today, on August 11. As the news of the Urdu Poet’s demise hits headlines, Swara Bhasker, Randeep Hooda and other members of the film fraternity mourn his death.

On Twitter, actress Swara Bhasker tweeted a quote by the late poet Rahat Indori. The actress tweeted, “मैं मर जाऊँ तो मेरी इक अलग पहचान लिख देना, लहू से मेरी पेशानी पे हिन्दुस्तान लिख देना..!” Rahat Indori RIP Raahat Saab! आपकी कमी हमेशा खलेगी|” Mourning poet Rahat Indori’s demise, Swara mentioned that she will always miss him and paid a tribute to him on social media.

Apart from Swara Bhasker, actor Randeep Hooda also penned down some word by late poet Rahat Indori on Twitter, paying a tribute. Hooda tweeted, “और ये हम कह रहे हैं आप की तरफ़ से ~ लाजवाब हैं अफ़साने मेरे ..। #RahatIndori #राहत_इंदौरी.”


As Swara Bhasker and Randeep Hooda paid a tribute to late poet Rahat Indori, Oscar and BAFTA-winning Sound Mixer/Designer, Resul Pookutty also tweeted expressing his grief over the late poet’s demise. Other than Pookutty, Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also tweeted and mentioned how he is saddened by the loss of one of his favourite poets. Meanwhile, Urdu Poet Rahat Indori was admitted to Shri Aurobindo hospital in Indore. As per reports in a section of the media, he had tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. On the late Rahat Indori’s official Twitter handle, his family informed that his last rites will take place at Indore’s Chhoti Khajrani graveyard at 9.30 tonight and requested fans to pray from their homes for the departed.
