Police Complaint Filed Against Censor Chief Pahlaj Nihalani
The man who was responsible for Censor Board ex-CEO Rakesh Kumar's arrest last year is now targeting Pahlaj Nihalani. Authorised censor certification agent Praveen Mohare has filed a complaint in Malabar police station against the Censor Chief.
 
Praveen has alleged that Nihalani threw him out from his office when he wanted to discuss work with him yesterday. "This man is digging out old rules which were not in force since a long time," he told SpotboyE.com.
 
So what exactly led him to take the drastic step? Praveen replied, "Pahlaj told me that dubbed films cannot be given a censor certificate if their dubbing has been done three years after the original released. Now, this rule was something that was applicable in 1999, not today."
 
When contacted, Pahlaj said, "I am aware that a police complaint has been filed against me. Praveen was getting very aggressive with me. He barged into my cabin. I am not going to tolerate this kind of intrusion. I had to tell the security guards to lead him out. Is Praveen going to teach me the rule book of censorship? I am not doing anything adhoc; I am following the rule book to the T and putting every clause into practice." 
 
Pahlaj is now planning to file a legal suit against Praveen, who got back to say this evening, "Pahlaj called up the producer of the film I carried to him yesterday. He told the producer to chuck me out else he will not pass the film. After that I lost two more films, which implies I lost three films today."
 
Pahlaj shot back: "Praveen is running a racket of issuing duplicate certificates to film producers. He is a mad man on the loose."
 
The Rakesh Kumar matter came to light in August last year when Praveen registered a complaint with the CBI saying that a film certification agent Shripati Mishra and an advisory panel member on the Censor Board Sarvesh Jaiswal had demanded money on behalf of Kumar to give certification to the movie Mor Dauki ke Bihav.
