Poonam Pandey On Being TROLLED For Dealing With Domestic Abuse: ‘Ye Toh Aise Kapde Pehenti Hai, Aisi Harkatein Karti Hai Iske Saath Yehi Hona Tha’

Model-actress Poonam Pandey is all set to show her never-seen-before avatar in Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming show 'Lock Upp'. She was announced as the third confirmed contestant of the ALT Balaji and MX Player reality show last week. Poonam is currently busy promoting her new show and while doing the same, she has also been making some candid confessions related to her personal front. In a recent interview, Pandey opened up about receiving backlash from a certain section of people for dealing with domestic violence by her estranged husband Sam Bombay.
In a recent interview with Etimes TV, the internet sensation rued that people are unaware of 'who the real Poonam is, they don’t know how she is in real life' and what she has gone through in her life. She said people 'made her 2-minute headlines or a celeb known just for bold acts. “They don’t know kya jhela hai life mein, Kahan se aayi hai. They just know that I am fit and I am always involved in controversies. I’ve made mistakes in life, I won’t deny that. I regret all the mistakes that I’ve made in life. I want people to know me, and understand that I’ve made a few mistakes but I’ve also gone through a lot in my life,” Poonam was quoted as saying.
The actress added that with Lock Upp she wants to connect with people and want to show them who she is in real life. Further, speaking about getting trolled after she went through that domestic violence phase, Poonam Pandey said, “One side was saying ‘ye toh Aise kapde pehenti hai aisi harkatein karti hai iske saath toh Yehi hona tha’. There was another side which said whatever it is, jaisi bhi hai joh bhi hai, lekin ye kyu hua Uske saath, ye Kisi ke bhi saath nahi hona chahiye…”
She also mentioned that she will talk about her mistakes, ups and downs, struggles, and failed relationships on Lock Upp without any filter. Bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor, Lock Upp will live stream 24X7 on ALT Balaji and MX Player from today, February 27.
