The film, titled Dhadak, is the Sairat remake, to be produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios together.

Janhvi has taken up the challenge to play a village belle and it will be interesting to see how she rises to the occasion. Knowing her mother Sridevi's acting talent, it shouldn't be difficult for Janhvi.


For those who've come in late, Janhvi had rejected a film offered by Ghajini maker AR Murugadoss before. We had brought that news to you first.
 
While the Sairat remake will be Janhvi's debut in Bollywood, this will be Ishaan's second venture after Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds. Although it will be Ishaan's first Bollywood flick.


For those who've came in late, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut had been considered to play the lead in Majid's flick, but both did not end up being a part of the cast.
 
 
Coming back to Sairat, it is a romance set in a caste heartland of rural Maharashtra became one of the biggest hits of 2016. The film starring newcomers, Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar, was also the first Marathi film to join the 100 crore club.
