Prakash Mehra's Son Amit Dies At 39

Amit Mehra, the second of (late) filmmaker Prakash Mehra's three sons, is no more.
Amit died following a massive cardiac arrest in his sleep, last night. A source close to the family said, "He was found unconscious in the morning. We took him to the hospital but the doctors declared him dead.His cremation will take place in Oshiwara at 4.30 pm today."
Amit was in the news in 2013 during the release of the remake of his father's film Zanjeer. He had a big fall out with his brothers Puneet and Summet over the film who were were totally against Amit's idea of remaking the 1973 blockbuster. They relented to give him the rights to make the film but Amit defaulted on the payments and a legal battle followed.
Amit's friend Vindu Dara Singh took to Twitter to mourn Amit's sudden demise. Vindu posted: Rip Amit Mehra son of Prakash mehra ji too early to leave at this young age.
