Prassthanam Actor Satyajeet Dubey’s Mother Tests POSITIVE For COVID-19; Actor Feels 'Privileged' To Find Her A Bed In Hospital
Prassthanam star Satyajeet Dubey's mother tests positive for Coronavirus after complaining of severe migraine, fever and body ache; here's what the actor has to say
The Coronavirus pandemic has alarmed the entire nation, as every day we are waking up to the distressing news of a big spike in the number of cases and, sometimes, deaths. Just like the common people, celebrities, too, are getting infected with the deadly virus. After Kanika Kapoor and Zoa Morani among others, we have Bollywood actor Satyajeet Dubey's mother testing positive for COVID-19 after complaining of severe migraine, fever and body ache. The actor took to his Instagram and shared the news with all his fans through a note. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Dubey also opened up on feeling privileged for getting a bed especially at a time when it's difficult for most of the people.
The Prassthanam actor revealed that after his mother felt the above-mentioned symptoms, he took her to a local doctor to get treated; however, he requested on getting on COVID-19 test done, the result of which appeared positive. In his interview, the actor revealed that he has been at the receiving end of criticism for the source, to which, he said, "You can’t pinpoint where it came from. I spoke to the doctor, who said ‘You or your sister could be the carriers, or somebody in the building, or even a currency note’. But, my sister and I’ve been absolutely fine. We’re asymptomatic, and so we’re not supposed to test as per the BMC guidelines."
At present, Dubey, his sister and their pets are under complete isolation at their home, while his mother is admitted to a private hospital.

Dubey calls it a 'privilege' to be able to find a bed in the hospital. He added, “As a son, I wanted to give her the best in terms of comfort. But, if you go through the normal channel, it’s next to impossible to find a bed in hospitals right now. Thank God for the kind of work I do, and the people I work with — I had to call a few people and pull some strings, and people were kind enough to say, ’You don’t worry about it, we will help’, and they did.”
