The makers of Akshay Kumar’s magnum opus Prithviraj recently shared the news of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar’s big Bollywood debut and that, Yash Raj Films, has signed Manushi as the heroine of their biggest historical film based on the life and heroism of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj. houseIt stars superstar Akshay Kumar in and as Prithviraj and Manushi will play the role of the gorgeous Sanyogita, Prithiviraj’s love of life. Now, the film has gone on floors and Akshay Kumar shared a video from the pooja ceremony.

Before they begin filming, the team of Prithviraj conducted a pooja and Akshay Kumar took to his social media to share a video of the team along with Rani Mukerji. He wrote, “Here's to auspicious beginnings  Stepping into the world of #Prithviraj. In theatres #Diwali2020! Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar is directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who also directed the biggest television epic Chanakya and movie Pinjar. Dwivedi, in his statement, talked about Manushi joining the cast and said, “We were looking to find someone who could match the magnetic persona of Sanyogita and we found that in Manushi. She auditioned for the role a couple of times because we wanted to be dead sure with this casting and she nailed it each time. She has been rehearsing six days a week since then and she is being thoroughly groomed for the last 9 months by YRF.”
