The only person who might be a little surprised with this piece of news is director Anees Bazmee. It doesn't come as a surprise to anyone in the industry that producer Feroz Nadiadwala has approached director Priyadarshan to helm the third outing in the Welcome franchise. The film's second outing Welcome Back didn't set the cash registers ringing loudly.

A source says, "After a disastrous result in Welcome Back, it was imperative to bring in a degree of change in the approach to making an entertaining potboiler. The modalities are fast being worked out with Priyan, who has been very busy down South."
We texted Firoz Nadiadwala (who will produce the film) for a comment but he chose to not respond.
The film's cast is yet to be decided.
