Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas Invite The Wrath Of PETA For Animal Abuse At Their Wedding
Just married couple, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have angered animal rights activists for alleged animal abuse during their wedding rituals
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married in a four-day long celebration at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. Nothing short of a fairy-tale, Mr and Mrs Jonas made sure each and every ritual was extravagant. Proof in point being the pictures and videos from the sangeet and mehendi, that seemed like a concert night, with Peecee and Nick taking to the stage and enthralling the guests.
While, there’s a lot of merriment happening, Peecee and Nick least expected their happy moments to spark an outrage from animal rights activists. PETA India, has slammed them for using horses and elephants in their wedding rituals, terming it as animal abuse. For those uninitiated, Nick Jonas rode on a nicely decorated horse followed by an elephant on his big day. We had even shared exclusive pictures of the same.

Now, the CEO of PETA, Manilal Valliyate has said in a statement, “Priyanka was ill served by not being advised of the firestorm that would be caused by participating in animal abuse. It doesn’t make a person look big or glamorous to promote cruelty to animals who have no choice but to serve. It makes them look small. Overwhelmingly, these days, PETA is delighted to see so many celebrities who feel passionately about protecting animals.”
They even made their displeasure evident by tweeting, “Dear @priyankachopra and @nickjonas. Eles 4 weddings live n chains & horses r controlled w whips, spiked bits. Ppl r rejecting ele rides: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Omror-75zC0&t=1s … & having horse-free weddings. Congrats, but we regret it was not a happy day for animals.”

They are currently prepping up for the big reception night in Delhi that is happening at Durbar Hall, Taj Palace Hotel.
