Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding was the most beautiful affair we had witnessed. With two different traditions coming together, we saw them getting hitched in the most surreal manner. Adding to the charm of their happiness was the mesmerising Umaid Bhawan Palace where the functions were held. From Mehendi, sangeet, white wedding and the Hindu wedding -all the four events took place in this grand palace and well, we are not at all surprised to know that Nick and Priyanka Chopra's lavish wedding earned three months worth revenue for the venue.
Puneet Chhatwal, chief executive officer and managing director of Indian Hotels Company Ltd that operates the Umaid Bhawan Palace recently revealed at Times Network's India Economic Conclave that Nick and Priyanka's wedding earned them enough money to sustain for three months. He was quoted saying, "Last year, we had Priyanka Chopra’s wedding in Umaid Bhawan Palace and it makes up for the revenue of 3 months." Reportedly, the couple spent around $461,000 (over 3.2 crore) only on the venue. The guests were allotted rooms in the palace and the entire palace was closed to the outsiders for good four days. Nick and Priyanka tied the knot last year on December 2. They first had a white wedding which was followed by a traditional Hindu wedding. Priyanka looked ravishing for both the ceremonies and Nick made up for the most handsome groom we had ever seen. They recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary with both the stars putting up lovey-dovey posts on social media.
