Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas To Do A Dance Reality Show Inspired By Their Own Sangeet Ceremony
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas are plotting a reality TV show, which will be based on India’s version of a rehearsal dinner called A Week to Sangeet, as reported by InStyle. Seems like it’s going to be inspired by the couple’s own sangeet ceremony
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding was no less than a fairy tale. The actress had three-day-long wedding celebrations at Umaid Bhawan in Jaipur, Rajasthan and the wedding pictures shared by the couple, and their close friends, made us swoon over them time and again. Be it mehendi, sangeet, the white-Hindu wedding ceremonies or their multiple receptions, the couple left their fans astounded with the pictures.
After seeing Priyanka in Jonas brothers’ Sucker video, many wanted to see them working together on a project. Now, it looks like all those prayers are going to be answered soon. InStyle magazine revealed, “She and her husband are plotting a reality TV show based on India’s version of a rehearsal dinner called A Week to Sangeet, in which couples of every background enter a fervent dance competition.”
After seeing Priyanka in Jonas brothers’ Sucker video, many wanted to see them working together on a project. Now, it looks like all those prayers are going to be answered soon. InStyle magazine revealed, “She and her husband are plotting a reality TV show based on India’s version of a rehearsal dinner called A Week to Sangeet, in which couples of every background enter a fervent dance competition.”
She told the magazine, “Nick came up with it because he was blown away by how the dinner brings people together. By the end everyone knows each other’s names."
On December 2, Priyanka had shared a video from the sangeet and had captioned it as, “It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.. #grateful."
While Parineeti Chopra had written, “For our SANGEET, the Chopra family decided to depict Mimi didi and Nick’s love story though songs. scenes and skit - full bollywood style!!! The whole family rehearsed for days and days. And were ready to beat the Jonas side hollow!!! But when the ladka wallas came on stage. they stumped us. They had been rehearsing for a long time. They sang and danced LIVE, including lip syncing hindi songs! Damn, we should have known. - All of this - but the spirit of competition was overpowered with love, happiness, laughs, whistles, cheering and noise!!! Wow wow wow. WHAT A NIGHT. P.S.
