Priyanka Chopra has made a name for herself internationally with her determination and grit. She is currently making the headlines for sharing her experience in Bollywood and ‘exposing how outsiders are treated’ in the industry. She had indeed been through a lot, however she is currently in one of the best phases of her life. Not only is all set to make her OTT debut with Citadel, but is enjoying parenthood alongside her husband Nick Jonas.

The actress, during her interaction with Dax Shephard on his Armchair Expert podcast, opened up about her decision to freeze her eggs in her early 30s so that she could enjoy motherhood with the right person at the right time. She revealed it was with her mother Madhu Chopra’s, who is an obstetrician-gynaecologist, motivation that she took the decision to freeze her eggs. Quoted by Hindustan Times, Priyanka said, “I felt such freedom, I did it in my early thirties and I could continue on an ambitious warpath, I wanted to achieve, and I wanted to get to a certain place in my career. Also, I had not met the person I wanted to have children with. So, with that anxiety-inducing, and with my mom who is an ob-gyn, telling me ‘just do it’.”


For the unversed, Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremonies in 2018 at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace. They welcomed their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas in 2022 via surrogacy. She went on to explain how she always advises her younger friends that the biological clock is real and that it can get “harder to get pregnant after 35 and to carry to term,” especially when they have been working all their lives. She further added that she always knew she wanted to have kids. She said, “I always knew I wanted kids, which was one of the big reasons I didn't want to date Nick at that time 'cause I was like, 'I don't know if he wants kids at 25,' at that time.”

On the work front, Priyanka is all set to make her web-series debut with the Russo Brothers' Citadel. She has Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, and her Hollywood projects, Love Again and Ending Things in the pipeline.
