While the Food Safety Law exists for all the Hotels, a 5-Star Hotel is busy ignoring the health of its customers, claims Priyanka Chopra's cousin sister. While many cases don’t make it to social media, the latest one to fall prey for a 5-Star Hotel’s negligence is Priyanka Chopra’s sister Meera Chopra, who’s herself a Bollywood actress.

Meera, who will next be seen in Section 375, was dining at a 5-star hotel in Ahmedabad when she received an unwelcome side of worms with her meal. Meera has taken to social media to share the video of the worms on her plate with her followers. Captioning the video, Meera wrote, “Staying in @DoubleTree ordered food and got worm in it. @fssaiindia plz have a look. We r paying a bomb to stay in dese places and dey serve us worms in my food. I want some immediate action to be taken on this. Guys lets make this trend and people know!!”

Replying to her tweet, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) said, “The concern has been raised with our Regulatory Compliance Division. Please allow us some time.” While the Hotel said, “We would like to review this matter further and we have sent you a DM. Please check when time allows. Thanks-KL”

A user also wrote, “Very disgusting the competent authority should take immediate action .Its someway a breach of trust as we believe that in such places these things will not happen.” Another shared their personal experience and wrote, “Nothing new !! I stayed in Hotel #Starottel & I could see flies & cockroaches in the left side of reception area where they have a display of cookies 🍪 & Tea !! Sad but true but don’t know it’s more in Ahemdabad ,most hotels are like that irrespective of the cost u pay.”
