The Narcotics Control Bureau is currently investigating the alleged Bollywood drug nexus following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Now, in a significant development in the drug probe, producer Firoz Nadiadwala was spotted arriving at the NCB office, a day after his wife Shabana Saeed’s arrest in drug case. As reported by the Times of India, the producer was seen heading to the NCB office. He arrived at the NCB office on Monday afternoon, exactly a day after his wife Shabana Saeed was arrested in the drug probe case.
Producer Firoz Nadiadwala was recently summoned by the NCB for further investigations after his wife’s arrest. Nadiadwala arrived in formal attire at the NCB office. As per the report, Firoz Nadiadwala was issued a summon after the arrest of his wife and seizure of drugs from their residence. According to an ANI report, the agency raided the producer’s Juhu home and seized 10 grams of ganja. He was not present at home, during the time of the raid, as per the reports.
Meanwhile, in a statement, NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede said, “We have arrested Firoz Nadiadwala's wife under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is on.” Reportedly, Nadiadwala's wife Shabana Saeed was issued a notice under section 67 of the NDPS Act. Saeed was arrested after the NCB recorded her statement and underwent a medical examination before she was produced in court.
Meanwhile, the NCB recently arrested Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades’ brother in the drug case. Actor Deepika Padukone’s ex-manager Karishma Prakash is also under the NCB scanner.
