In the year 2020, so far, the film industry has witnessed a lot of tragedies. We have lost several artistes like Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Wajid Khan, Saroj Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput among others. And while fans are still mourning, yet other heartbreaking news has hit the tinsel town. Yesterday, popular Bollywood action director Parvez Khan has succumbed to a severe heart attack. He was 55 years old. This tragic news was confirmed by filmmaker Hansal Mehta on his Twitter account. Hansal recalled his experience with Parvez and also complimented him as a human being.
Hansal, in his tweet, wrote that Parvez and he had worked in Shahid and how he was very skilful, energetic and a good human being. "Just heard that action director Parvez Khan is no more. We had worked together in ‘Shahid' where he executed the riots sequence in a single take. Very skilful, energetic and a good man. RIP Parvez. Your voice still rings in my ears!" tweeted the filmmaker. In response to the same, Suparn Varma wrote, "We worked together in my directorial debut Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Parvez bhai was so damn good and had such an open mind and a large heart besides a wicked sense of humour. RIP #ParvezKhan"
Parvez Khan, as an action director, has contributed to films like Andhadhun, Badlapur, Bullett Raja, Fukrey, Ra. One, Vishwaroopam, Vishwaroopam 2, Dev.D, Gangster, Sehar, Ab Tak Chhappan, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, Soldier and Mr And Mrs Khiladi among several others.
YRF's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was his last project in Bollywood. The film stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti and is yet to hit the big screens in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak.
