Raashii Khanna Opens Up On Her Struggle In Film Industry And Shares Life-Lesson She Learned From John Abraham: ‘Learn To Say NO’
South actress Raashii Khanna is currently basking in the success of her latest OTT release ‘Rudra: the Edge of Darkness’. Her brilliant performance in the Ajay Devgn starrer was loved by her fans. Recently, Raashii talked about her long career in South cinema and how the industry is different from Hindi cinema. She also opened up about her struggle in the industry and one piece of advice which she received from John Abraham.

While Speaking to ETimes, the Madras Cafe actress was asked to share her experience of working in different languages to which she answered, that it feels ‘amazing’. She stated, “Every time you work in a certain industry, in a certain language, you become closer to those people.”


Raashii Khanna started her acting career in Bollywood with Madras Cafe alongside John Abraham. During the chat, when she was asked about her long journey and how does it feel to get this far, the actress said she never believed that she will come so far. Recalling the time when she started her career, Raashii pointed out that she had has no Godfather in the industry and she didn’t know anyone to guide her with her film choices so she took her own baby steps and worked hard to get here.
 “So I think it's all God's grace. Also somewhere because I really believe in God, I feel that it's his grace and probably a bit of my hard work. It feels great”, she added.


Talking about the time when she was surrounded by self-fear and doubts, Raashii shared that in the South industry, “your successes decide your future. If you have flops back to back, you might not get a film, no matter how talented or good-looking you are. It really doesn't matter, what matters is your success.”

Adding further the actress shared that one thing she learned from her co-star John was to say ‘NO’. The Dhoom actor advised her, “Raashii, learn when to say no and take that seriously in your life' and that's exactly what I did in my professional life.”

Meanwhile, the actress will next be seen in ‘Yodha’ with Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani.
