Jaideep Ahlawat spills the beans on Raazi sequel
Meghna Gulzar's directorial Raazi starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal was considered as one of the best films of 2018. The action-spy drama received critical acclaim and crossed over 100 crores at the box office making it one of the highest-grossing female-centric films of Bollywood. With Raazi, Alia pushed her boundaries as an actor. Vicky nailed it too.
Reports were rife that a sequel of the film will be made. Jaideep, in his interaction with Bollywoodlife.com shared that director Meghna Gulzar has not spoken about the sequel to anyone because she is such a sensitive filmmaker who likes to work out on every minute detail of her art. Ahlawat added that she will only make the sequel of Raazi if she thinks of an engrossing reason to.
Like others, the actor too agrees that the espionage thriller has a scope of another installment but probably with a different storyline as Khalid Mir and Sehmat’s character survived in the film.
Not only did the Bloody Brothers actor spill beans on the sequel of Raazi, but when asked about the second season of the Amazon Prime web series, Paatal Lok, he said he will be very happy to return to Paatal Lok.
He was quoted saying, “People loved it and it had set the benchmark for the craze that people developed for OTT content since then. However, I'm not aware of the situation of Paatal Lok 2 – the makers alone will be the right people to answer that, you'll have to ask them. Hopefully, it'll happen soon.”
