Radhika Madan Begged To Audition For Irrfan Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan's Angrezi Medium

Trailer of Angrezi Medium left everyone with a warm feeling; story about a father’s struggle to help his daughter achieve her dream of pursuing her higher studies overseas, won everyone’s heart. While the talented star Irrfan Khan stepped into the shoes of a father, actress Radhika Madan essays his onscreen daughter. In conversation with a leading publication, budding actress shared deets about how she landed a role in this most anticipated film, she revealed of begging to the director Homi Adajania.
Radhika revealed to ETimes of begging to Homi in order to allow her to audition for this role, which gave her chance to star opposite none other than Irrfan Khan. Performing two scenes from the film, she revealed of one being where she leaves for London and other she kept under wraps. Post her audition, the producer Dinesh Vijan and director Homi believed in her; thus making her feel fortunate enough to find such people in her career. Calling it a rare phenomena to find such people.
She was quoted saying by publication, “Beg, I had to literally beg to audition for this film because I had just done 'Pataakha'. I begged Homi to let me audition and I performed two scenes, one of which is where she is going to London, which is seen in the trailer and the second one I cannot reveal. Homi and Dinu believed in me and it is a rare thing to find such people. I feel really fortunate to have such people with me.”
She also mentioned how Irrfan within couple of minutes and seconds became her onscreen father on the first day of the shoot. Gushing about Irrfan’s quality to put in 100% in his work, she mentioned about the actor approaching all his films without any pre conceived notions.
