Rahul Dev’s Father Passes Away At 91
Rahul Dev, brother of actor Mukul Dev, took to Twitter to announce that their father passed away last week. The actor also shared a photograph of himself sitting besides his father. "Will miss you Papa. He left us five days ago, a brilliant innings of 91. Most cherished moment with him at a robust ninety," Rahul tweeted.

The actor also shared that his father was a decorated police officer and the recipient of the coveted Gallantry Award."A simple, kind and free spirited soul. Blessed to be his son," he added.


Superstar Shah Rukh Khan expressed his heartfelt condolences by tweeting, "May Allah bless his soul. In school we use to hear all his stories of bravery and be inspired."


Rahul is known for his work in Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu films. He made his debut in the 2000 film Champion. Then, Rahul was seen in films like Asoka, Omkara, Dishoom and Mubarakan. The actor will next be seen in a Tamil thriller called Coffee alongside Mugdha Godse of Fashion fame. The actor will play the antagonist in the film whereas Mugdha will essay a key member of his gang.

Director Sai Krishna, while speaking to Silverscreen said, “I felt that Rahul and Mugdha would particularly suit the two characters who are part of a big network in Mumbai. The Tamil they speak is very different from ours, and I wanted that. They return to Tamil cinema with Coffee.”
