Raj Kundra Recalls Son Viaan ‘Broke Down’ When He Was Jailed Due To The Porn Case; Shilpa Shetty’s Husband Reveals, ‘Heard A Choke In His Voice, I Remember Sobbing’
Raj Kundra opened up about how him getting arrested in the porn case affected his family, his son Viaan and his wife Shilpa Shetty’s work commitments
Businessman and filmmaker Raj Kundra has been subjected to a lot of trolling ever since he was arrested in 2021 for his alleged involvement in the creation and distribution of pornographic films. While he was granted bail in September, of the same year, the netizens continued to mock him and termed him as ‘porn king’. Now, in a recent interveiw, he opened up about how him getting arrested in the porn case affected his family, his son Viaan and his wife Shilpa Shetty’s work commitments.
During a conversation with Hindustan Times, the UT69 actor expressed that the term ‘porn king’ refuses to leave him ever since the case started. He shared that if it weren’t for the fact that he is married to a celebrity, the damage wouldn’t have happened. Kundra revealed that it was truly unfair that his wife and his kids had to face the brunt of the ongoing case. Talking about the constant trolling he and Shilpa had to face, Raj revealed that he doesn’t like his wife, Viaan and Samisha reading those terms. Sharing the Hungama 2 actress’ reaction to the case, he revealed that she had burst out laughing and told him that she knew it wasn’t true. However, she explained to him that she would maintain her silence and dignity. He also went on to add that Shetty lost work on television and many contracts because of his alleged involvement in the case. Talking about how the arrest affected his son, quoted by the Free Press Journal, the 48-year-old businessman said, “"He would draw something and send it to me with a letter in jail. He would write, ‘Papa missing you, come back soon, finish your work’. The first two-three weeks, he was fine. Then on my birthday, September 9, 2021, I heard a choke in his voice, and he broke down. I remember sobbing.”
Raj Kundra concluded his interview by stating that he had to cry while hiding inside his blanket as one cannot let their guard down when in jail. He added, “For Viaan, I am his hero. Viaan knew his dad’s company is on his name, I would do no wrong. For him, it’s like a bad dream.”
