Rajkummar Rao's GF Patralekhaa Slams Trolls For Calling Her 'Cheap' And 'Wannabe'; 'It’s My Body I Will Wear What I Like'
At the screening of Kiara Advani's Netflix film, Guilty, Patralekhaa's outfit was highly criticised and was called 'cheap' and 'wannabe' but the Citylight actress chose to give a befitting reply to the trolls via her Instagram account
Unfortunately, public figures getting slammed, trolled or even body-shamed on social media has become a common thing. The recent one to go through this is the Citylight actress Patralekhaa who was criticised for her outfit at the screening of Netflix film Guilty. For the screening, she wore a black crop top, pairing it with blue balloon jeans and an oversized jacket while flaunting her toned mid-riff. But this comfy outfit was very well recieved by a certain section of people on social media who trolled her for the outfit.
Giving a clarification to the detractors on her Instagram account, she said that she will wear whatever she feels like wearing as it is 'her body her armour.' Her Instagram caption reads, " I wore this outfit to a screening and got papped! A few fashion bloggers picked it up (thank you for that) but I happened to read the comments section below and they were filled with negativity. I was a bit shocked about people spewing so much negativity and personal attack in their comments. WHY?"
Her caption further reads, "It’s my body I will wear what I like and what I want. If i look cheap, wannabe, this shape, that size etc, it's really none of anyone’s business. My body my armour! I will wear what I want to wear. #HappyWomens’day2020. Celebrating today and everyday. Strong today, Stronger tomorrow." On her post, beau Rajkummar Rao too commented saying, "Prettiest girl ever". How sweet.
Not just her BF, many celebs from the B-Town too came out in support of Patralekhaa. We saw Diana Penty, commenting, "This is such a cool look. Looooveeee!!" Divya Khosla Kumar wrote, "U look Fab". Alia Bhatt's bestie and Guilty actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor also commented on her post, "Hell yeah" Whereas Huma Qureshi wrote, "You look smash" Ananya Panday's So positive said, "More power to you!! Here’s to a So Positive social media environment." And Harleen Sethi wrote, "Hotness overload."
