Raksha Bandhan Special: From Kabir-Ayesha To Max-Shirley, Five Types Of Siblings We All Have In Real Life
Raksha Bandhan literally means ‘safety’ and ‘bond’; however, we believe this relationship is way beyond words. It is not just restricted to protection because - let us be honest here - almost every brother is a little protective and possessive about their sister! You all will agree that siblings can be a little irritating and interfering sometimes, but can you imagine them not bickering with you for small things or not having your back? No, right? Such is the multifaceted nature of a sibling bond.

As we speak about the bond of brother and sister this Raksha Bandhan, let us show you the five kinds of sibling duos that we all (almost) have in our lives - with a little help from Bollywood that has given us a lifetime of memory. We are not just going to talk about brothers but will talk about types of sisters as well. From Josh's Max-Shirley (Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) to Dil Dhadakne Do's Ayesha-Kabir (Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh), here are several types of sibling duos that Bollywood has given us. And we can’t deny that they’re pretty amazing and of course, relatable AF!

Let’s have a dekko!

— Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na | The 'Fighting' Duo: Genelia D’Souza and Prateik Babbar chase each other like cats and dogs in the film. But no matter how much Aditi and Amit fight and kick each other’s asses, they will stay each other’s best friends. They showed us how their relationship evolved from hating each other to rekindling their bond.

— Dil Dhadakne Do | The 'Excellent Secret Keepers' Duo: The Mehra siblings are an absolutely perfect pair in the film Dil Dhadakne Do. They are each other’s secret keepers. As Ayesha was hiding Kabir’s love for Farah from their family, Kabir was hiding her birth control and divorce information from her family and of course, her husband. You can only trust your sibling with such critical information. Cheers to this duo!

— Josh | The 'Partners In Crime' Duo: Shah Rukh and Aishwarya were not just playing siblings but they were twins in the film. Shirley and Max are perfect ‘partners in crime’ - right from taking the class of their rivals to annoy a male friend of Max’s girlfriend. Also, have you forgotten the iconic song, Apun Bola? They define ‘partners in crime’ duo.

— Iqbal | The ‘In This Together’ Duo: ‘You jump, I jump’. Despite knowing that her brother Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) is disabled to play cricket, Khadija (Shweta Basu Prasad) still took the plunge with him to fulfil his dream. From being his cheerleader to being her ultimate support system, she was there throughout his journey.

— Housefull | The ‘Overprotective’ Duo: As we said, brothers do become a little protective of their sister, be it the elder or the younger. That’s what we saw between Krishan Rao and Sandy. In the film, Krishan (Arjun Rampal) goes out of his way to examine the love of Sandy’s life.
