Rakul Preet Singh On Naa Dooja Koi: ‘In Music Videos You Get To Emote So Much With Just Your Eyes And Your Emotions’- EXCLUSIVE
Rakul Preet Singh has been on a professional high this year. Her first screen project this year came with her first music video in April with Arjun Kapoor in Dil Hai Deewana. The duo gave a sizzling chemistry on screen followed by their first feature film together, Kaashvie Nair’s Sardar Ka Grandson that released on Netflix in May.

Now, the actress is all set to come up with her second music video tomorrow, Naa Dooja Koi, that sees her paired opposite Thappad fame Pavail Gulati. Talking about her experience on the song, Rakul says, “This is my second single but it’s very different from the first one. This is a love melody and a beautiful song that is why I was very excited to be a part of it,” she says.

Ask Rakul if being on the set of a music video was any different than being on a film set, and she denies it. “The experience of being on a set for me is same as it’s all about emoting in both the cases. You are still playing a certain character and depicting their story, so I don’t see much of a difference. But I actually love doing montage songs a lot because there you get to emote so much with just your eyes and your emotions without speaking,” she points out.

So, is there anything new that she explored about herself while working on the song? “You explore new sides of yourself with every project you do. That is an ongoing process and with every character and experience you improve and get more comfortable in front of the camera. The audience also gets to see a different side of you with each of them,” she responds.

Speaking about the song, Rakul reveals that Naa Dooja Koi is a super romantic song. “It is from a girl’s point of view and how she comes into loving this new phase of life of hers. It’s something that I haven’t been seen doing before. What I love about a music video is that we are telling a full story in just three minutes. Now, I just want everyone to see it and enjoy the beauty and honesty of this video,” she smiles.
