Ram Lakhan 2.0: Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff And Subhash Ghai Reunite For A Crime-Comedy
Finally, the trio- Anil, Jackie and Ghai are set to come together for a new project, Ramchand and Kishanchand
A few weeks back, during an interview, Anil Kapoor was quoted saying that reunion is on cards and it looks like this is finally happening. If the latest reports are anything to go by, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff will be coming together for Subhash Ghai's next production, AGAIN! Ghai, who has last helmed, Kaanchi: The Unbreakable starring Mishti and Kartik Aaryan in the lead roles, will be producing his next with his Ram and Lakhan.
It is said that the film is titled Ramchand Kishanchand and is scheduled to take in a few months. The film said to be a crime-comedy that tells the story of two 50-year-old cops and is slated to go on the floors in Mumbai later this year.
In Ram Lakhan, Jackie had played an honest police officer, Ram and elder brother to Anil’s corrupt cop Lakhan in the 1991 Ghai directorial. To which Jackie Shroff refused to divulge any details and simply said, "It’s always a ‘yes’ for a Subhash Ghai film.” The filmmaker, later on, added, “We have been working on various scripts for Anil and Jackie and have liked one.” While Anil Kapoor chose not to comment.
Well, we hope the film is made soon as we can't wait to watch the trio again for a new film. What say?
On the work front, Anil Kapoor will be next seen with John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela and Saurabh Shukla in Pagalpanti which is directed by Anees Bazmee. While Jackie Shroff who was last seen in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat will be featuring in Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor.
