After much hype and buzz, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have finally tied the knot on April 14 in a close-knit ceremony. The wedding was an extremely private affair with just family members and close friends in attendance. Alia and Ranbir’s Mehendi ceremony took place yesterday and it was attended by Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and cousins Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Alia’s family. Notably, the bride’s father Mahesh Bhatt wrote Ranbir’s name on his hand during the Mehendi function.
In a video shared on a paparazzo’s Instagram account, Mahesh Bhatt can be seen showing off his Mehendi design that has Ranbir’s name. The filmmaker proudly flaunted his Mehendi and it speaks volumes about how much he loves his son-in-law. Soon after the video was shared online, netizens took to the comments section to shower compliments on Mahesh Bhatt. Many called it a 'cute gesture'.
Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor got her late husband Rishi Kapoor’s name written on her palms during the ceremony. The veteran actress shared a photo of her Mehendi adorned palms on her Instagram and in no time fans were left gushing. In fact, Neetu’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Karisma Kapoor also dropped pictures, flaunting their Mehendi designs. Amongst others who attended the couple’s Mehendi were Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Pooja Bhatt, and Rahul Bhatt. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in an intimate traditional ceremony at the actor’s residence, Vastu. The couple fell in love during the shoot of their film Brahmāstra and made their relationship official at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception in 2018.
