Ranbir Kapoor On Wedding Plans With Alia Bhatt: Actor Says They’d Be Married If The Pandemic Didn’t Happen; Reveals He Wants To ‘Tick Mark That Goal Very Soon’
In an interview, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about wedding plans with Alia Bhatt. The actor said that Alia and he would have been married if the Coronavirus pandemic never happened. He also revealed he wants to tick mark that goal soon.
Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of the most-loved couples. The duo has a massive fan base, who is excited and eagerly waiting for them to finally seal the deal. Since the couple has made their relationship public, there have been many speculations about their wedding. As Alia and Ranbir have left their fans in a question mark about marriage plans since quite long now, Kapoor recently spilt the beans about the wedding and shared much more.
In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about wedding plans with Alia Bhatt. The actor said that Alia and he would have been married if the Coronavirus pandemic never happened. When asked if he’s planning to get married anytime soon, Ranbir said that the deal would’ve been ‘sealed’ had the ‘pandemic not hit our lives’. He added, “I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life.” Kapoor revealed he wants to tick mark the marriage goal soon.
Talking about girlfriend Alia Bhatt, Ranbir said she is a bit of an overachiever, but mentioned he feels like an underachiever next to her. He mentioned watching films and TV shows during the quarantine break. When asked about if he took any online classes during the lockdown, Kapoor said, “My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is -- from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn’t take any classes. Initially, we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch two-three films every day.”
Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia spent the lockdown together. Only recently, the actress purchased a property in the same apartment complex that Kapoor lives in. On the work front, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are set to star in the film titled Brahmastra, directed by filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dimple Kapadia. The long-delayed film is slated for a 2021 release.
